The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Edit: Please only submit the first page of your comic to the group. If you have more than one page, then make sure there are navigational links between them.

Member requests will be automatically accepted, so click the button and join on in!

Competitive Applicants

Please read the Application journal and fill out the trainer application sheet for the Guild you plan on joining. When you're done with that, be sure to read the audition comic requirements for your Guild (located on the same journal) and complete that as well. Because we now face the possibility of faction cap offs, we ask that you submit your application when it's fully complete.

Submit the application to the appropriate Guild folder
When you comic is complete, submit the first page to the Preliminary Round folder. Make sure all your pages are linked together if there's more than one page.
When the application sheet and the comic are both finished, you may note the group with links to them.

These comics will be judged to determine the competing contestants in round one. We will only be allowing 128 contestants through to Round 1.

You will have until January 1st to finish both the sheet and audition comic.

NPC Applicants

Fill out the NPC Applications and submit it to the NPC folder. That's it! You don't have to complete the audition comic in order to participate as an NPC. There's also no deadline for NPC applications, as they will remain open throughout the competition.
